Hispanos For Romney for President – Our Benefit
Now that the Republican party has settled on Mitt Romney for President, we need to analyze and support such effort. Here are the advantages that we will have by joining the campaign, registering Latinos Republicans and helping the country get back into what brought us here.
We, Hispanics in the United States, do have different backgrounds and needs as previously explained (see prior blogs as to our differences).
We have become the largest so-called “minority” group in the country and still find that many believe we can only work in the fields and or clean houses. They continue to ask for government assistance and agencies to “protect us” while the real reason is to enrich their pockets at the expense of the taxpayer.
I, as many other Latinos, have found the Republican party has the same philosophy we have for hard work, ethical and less government interference, and ability to grow in the private sector.
One of the major issues for the all Latinos specially in the Central and Western states is to find a solution for the outdated Immigration Laws and its enforcement.
Another very important issue if for us to us to move forward and repel the idea and the improper stereotyping used by the Democrats and being blamed on the Republicans that we, the Latinos as presented by many Democrats, are in need of government jobs and of government programs because we are incapable of doing it on our own.
How can we accomplish such changes unless we work together to propose and educate those not familiar with our needs in those states where the influx of qualified and willing workers can come in and work legally on those jobs that most American would not do?
We need to have a voice in both parties that really support our efforts for a protected border and the ability of those who qualify to become part of our society instead of hiding in the shadows.
We also need a unified support for recognition of our abilities and the benefits we have brought to the country with our hard work and high working and business standards. Our desire to have less interference by bureaucrats whose only job is to preserve their positions and abuse of expenditures by the government is one of our real goals.
Wasteful government expenditures and creating jobs that do not produce anything but supervision has destroyed the economy of many European countries. Why should we follow their path and sink our economy any further than what it is now?
The Democrats claim that they proposed such immigration changes, when in reality, they oppose the changes and have been using the issue to create a racial and class warfare in order to blame the Republicans. They have had control of Congress and the Presidency and have not done anything to promote the issue. Many elected Democrats voted against the immigration legislation proposed and supported by President Bush and many Republican Senators and Representatives.
We all know that the unions do not want a comprehensive Immigration package and those unions wholly support the Democrats; therefore, the elected Democrats have to play with the unions opposing those changes.
It is clear that the Republican philosophy is our philosophy when it comes to work standards, minimum interference by the government, creating small businesses, striving to become successful by working hard, making economic growth, and creating jobs.
Lets join the campaign for President by Mitt Romney who has proven to be a successful entrepenuer and can get the country back to its greatness. Lets make our needs part of the Republican platform.
Give us work and we will do our best. If no one will give us a chance then we will be working on fields and clean houses until now.
